Description

This is an unidentified pedestal tomb located in the churchyard about 2.5 meters northeast of the northeast corner of the United Reformed Church. The tomb dates from 1822 and is made of stone. It features a pyramid cap resting on a wide cyma base, which has a moulded edge. The sides of the tomb have square-recessed corners and a fluted frieze above an oval panel on each face, with a cavetto base. Originally, there was a stone surround that carried railings. The earliest decipherable date on the tomb is 1822, with a later inscription commemorating J. Stiff, who died in 1858.
