Description
The monument to Ann Pitcher is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 1.5 metres south of the nave wall of the Church of St Mary Magdalen. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat top with a chamfered edge, square quarter balusters, and plain inscription panels. At the time of the survey in September 1983, the base was noted to be sunk. This tomb commemorates Ann Pitcher, who passed away in 1794, and is the easternmost of a group of three tombs situated close to the nave wall.
