Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 14 metres south of the south-west corner of the south porch of the Church of St. Ethelbert. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar. The tomb features a weathered lid with a moulded edge. Below the lid is a fluted frieze adorned with corner paterae. The sides of the tomb have raised rectangular panels with rounded ends, which are set within a recess and also have a moulded edge. The ends of the tomb are designed with elongated rectangular balusters, each featuring a moulded panel on the stem. At ground level, there is a moulded top to the plinth.
