Description

The Almshouse is a house dating from the late 17th century. It has a roughcast exterior and a slate roof, with two brick stacks at the ends. The building is one storey high with an attic and features three gabled dormers that contain paired casement windows. The central entrance is a half-glazed door, flanked by paired casements and topped with a two-mullioned fanlight. This structure was a gift to Staunton Village from Benedict Hall, which is noted on the benefactions board in the Church of All Saints. The Almshouse is included for its group value with Church Farmhouse.
