Description
Ivy House is a house that likely dates from the 16th century, with alterations made in the early 18th century and a porch added in the 20th century. It features brick-nogged timber-framing set on a stone plinth, with a painted brick gable on the left and a thatched roof. The house is three bays wide, one room deep, and has one and a half stories. The front has timber framing that rises three panels high to the eaves.
Near the center, there is a half-glazed lean-to porch with a brick base and a tiled roof, featuring a half-glazed door on the left side and a boarded door behind it. On either side of the porch, there are two-light casement windows with iron opening lights. Above the porch, there is a two-light casement window in a swept dormer. A brick chimney is located on the right gable at the ridge.
To the right, there is a lean-to extension that is rendered. The left return has a rendered ground floor with a weatherboarded upper section, featuring a two-light casement window with weatherboarding above it. The first floor is made of brick and includes a three-light late 20th-century casement window, with two timber ties exposed as collars to the roof above. A lateral chimney is present on the rear of the left half of the house.
