Description
Highmead House is a late 18th-century dwelling attached to Meadoway in Blakeney. The house features smooth rendered walls, with rubble gable and back walls, and a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high, with a part third storey on the left where the ground falls away. The front has three windows with sashes and glazing bars, a central four-panel door, and a transom light with a central pane framed by glazing bars as a margin. The entrance is highlighted by a Doric portico with a deep architrave and cornice. At the back, there is an extension for the staircase, which includes an arched window with a sash and bars. Inside, the house retains many original panelled doors and linings, as well as a staircase with stick balusters.
