Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11.5 meters south of the priest's door in the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a plain chamfer on the underside and corner quarter-square gadrooned balusters. The long sides have a main central panel, with a central head at the top and leaves at the corners, flanked by narrow panels of foliage. The ends are designed with an hour-glass shape within a circle, adorned with fronds above. An inscription on the lid refers to a death in 1781. At the time of the survey in 1984, the tomb was half sunk and overgrown.
