Description
The unidentified monument located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Andrew, positioned in the angle between the nave and the tower, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and features a flat top with a moulded edge and quarter square corner balusters. The sides have raised rectangular panels with moulded edges, while the east end is plain with a sunk line outlining a rectangle. The west end is adorned with a large urn topped with a pineapple, and it has a moulded base. The only date inscribed on the monument is 1784, which, if it marks the date of the monument, indicates an early use of the pineapple motif.
