Description
Pocketts is a house that likely dates from the 17th century. It features a mix of materials, including part brick and part timber-framed construction, with two panels high. The infill is partly rendered and partly brick nogged, all sitting on a stone plinth, topped with a tiled roof. The building is probably two bays wide and consists of a single storey with an attic.
The gable faces the road and is made of Flemish-bond brick, with a chimney located within the main structure. On the left side, there is a single light iron opening casement window in a timber frame, which serves the attic. The entrance front is on the left, featuring a late 20th-century front door and frame. To the right, there is a section of brick walling with a two-light casement window that has a cambered brick arch. Next to this, there is a timber-framed panel with a high rail and a small single-pane window. On the left side, there is more timber framing, which includes a two-light wooden casement window. Above, there are two late 20th-century dormers. Additionally, there is a single-storey brick extension on the left, likely from the 19th century. The rear wall of the house has two tension braces in the timber framing.
