Description

The pumphouse on Ampney Brook is a pair of small buildings that were once used for sluice and flow operations. Likely built in the 19th century, they are constructed from coursed rubble stone with quoins and feature a stone slate roof. These single-storey structures include a round-arched window with a flush stone surround on the west end of the west shed. Although the interiors and complete external view were not accessible during the survey, it is said that pumping machinery still exists inside one of the sheds.
