Description
Dunsden Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse located in Todenham, with a wing at the rear dated 1647, as indicated by a plaque above the dormer on the left-hand wall. The farmhouse was likely extended in the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a limestone slate roof and features ashlar stacks. The building has a rectangular plan with a wing extending to the back right. It stands two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by three 20th-century two-light casements. The façade includes four late 19th-century to early 20th-century cross windows that have glazing bars, wooden mullions, and transoms. There is an off-centre plank door on the right with a light above it. The rear right wing from the 17th century features double-chamfered stone mullioned windows with king mullions and stopped hoods. The gable end and axial stack have moulded caps and skirtings, along with flat gable end coping. The interior has not been inspected.
