Description
Paradise Cottage is a building that was originally three cottages at the end of a row, now converted into one. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The structure is made of limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and features ashlar stacks, one of which is from the 20th century. The cottage has one and a half storeys and four gables arranged in pairs. These gables are above two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements that have horizontal glazing bars and stopped hoods. Between the pairs of gables, there is a two-light metal casement. The front also includes two three-light stone-mullioned casements and a 20th-century plank door with a small glazed light, all set within a segmental-headed surround. To the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door with a concrete lintel, along with a four-pane light situated between the doors. The building has an axial stack and a gable end stack, both featuring skirtings and moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
