Description
This is a chest tomb from the late 17th century located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, approximately 5.5 meters south of the south aisle. It features lyre-shaped ends and is made of limestone. The tomb has partially legible inscription panels on both the north and south sides, which are rectangular with moulded margins. On the north side, there is hanging drapery on either side of the inscription panel, while the sides of the lyre-shaped ends are decorated with foliate designs. The south side's inscription panel is flanked by two figures: a skeleton representing death on the right and a winged figure of time holding an hourglass and a scythe on the left. At the east end, there is a large oval inscription panel topped with a cherub's head, and at the west end, a small cartouche-like panel also features a cherub's head, with fruit and flowers depicted below. The tomb is capped with a thick margin that is moulded.
