Description
A group of three monuments is located in the churchyard of the Church of St James, approximately 6 metres north of the porch. The monuments consist of two chest tombs and a headstone, all made of limestone.
The first chest tomb, situated opposite the porch, is dedicated to Mary Robins, who died in 1793, as well as members of the Craddock and Hayward families. It features inscriptions on all four sides with plain or fielded marginal panels, and has a capping with a moulded margin and a moulded and hipped upper capping stone.
The second chest tomb, located about 1.5 metres to the south-west, commemorates James Davis, who died in 1776, along with other family members.
The headstone is positioned approximately 1.25 metres east of the second chest tomb. It has a partially legible inscription dated 1838 and features an ogee-shaped head with ribbed engaged shafts on either side.
