Description
Five chest tombs are located about 12 meters southeast of the porch in the churchyard of the Church of St Nicholas. These tombs are set in an L shape and are unidentified, likely dating from the late 17th century to the mid 18th century. They are made of limestone and feature flat tops with moulded capping, although the plinths are not visible on all of them. Three tombs are arranged in a line from east to west, each with lyre ends and plain oval end panels, along with an additional central lyre profile on both sides, except for the central tomb which has the extra profile only on the south side. The side panels are plain twin ovals with low reliefs. The two tombs to the east run north/south and have diamond end panels, with plain rectangular sides divided into three panels on the north side and a single panel on the south side. At the time of the survey in April 1986, all tombs were partially overgrown and in poor condition.
