Description
South Court is a detached house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It features a rubble stone façade that is roughcast on the front, with alternating flush quoins and a stone slate roof, along with renewed stone end stacks. The house has a single front range of two storeys, with a rear range to the right and a catslide roof at the rear angle to the left.
The front elevation has three windows: two-light stone mullion and transom windows with leaded lights, flanking a central round-arched window with plain glass, which is adorned with a moulded stone architrave and imposts. The ground floor includes painted two-light mullion and transom windows on either side of a central 20th-century gabled stone porch. There is a plat band above the ground floor. A small two-light wood casement window with a timber lintel is located on the left-hand return at the rear. The gable end of the rear wing is topped with a small ball finial.
