Description

Charlescote Middle Cottage is a pair of semi-detached houses with a former barn attached to the right (which is not of special interest). The houses date to the 17th century and were restored in the 20th century. They are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a limestone slate roof and limestone coping. Ashlar stacks are present. The houses are two storeys high, with two Cotswold dormers illuminating the attic space. The front elevation has three windows, featuring 2, 3, 4, and 5-light double-chamfered stone mullioned casements with horizontal glazing bars and stopped hoods. A part-glazed central door leads into the building. A central axial stack is present, and the gable ends have flat coping with roll cross saddles. The interior has not been inspected.
