Description
There are two chest tombs located in the churchyard of the Church of St Margaret, approximately 1.5 to 3 metres south-east of the porch. Both tombs are made of limestone. The first tomb, which is closest to the south porch, is dedicated to Elizabeth Bidd, who died in 1620, and features an incised inscription at the west end along with a thick flat-chamfered capping. The second tomb, situated about 1.5 metres north-east of the first, commemorates Ales Denton, who died in 1664. This tomb also has an incised inscription at the west end and a thick flat-chamfered moulded capping.
