Description
The Falcon is an inn with an early 18th-century front that is part of an older rear wing. The building is constructed of painted rubble stone and features a stone slate roof. It has a brick end stack on the left, a brick flue on an external stone stack to the right, and a brick ridge stack on the rear wing. The structure consists of a single front range and a large rear cross range, which includes a single-storey 20th-century extension on the right-hand return. The front facade has two windows with 16-pane sashes set in shallow reveals on both the first and ground floors. There is a central 20th-century recessed door with a timber lintel, accessed by four steps. The rear cross wing features a raking dormer across the eaves on the right-hand return.
