Description

This is a clapper bridge located approximately 20 meters southwest of Lower Harford Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and is constructed of limestone. The bridge features two courses of squared blocks laid over stone piers, with some late 19th-century brick replacement. It is a rare example of a clapper bridge in this region, as this type is more commonly found in upland areas.
