Description
Horcott Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features alternating flush quoins, topped with a stone slate roof and three stone stacks with offsets. The building has a single front range with a small rear cross-wing, standing two storeys high and containing four windows. The windows are three-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds and arched heads, each light fitted with wooden casements that have Gothick tracery. There are three similar windows on the ground floor, along with a doorway located in the third bay, to the right of centre. This doorway has a moulded arch surround, a flat stone hood supported by large console brackets, and a half-glazed four-panel door with the two lower panels flush.
