Description
This haystore, located approximately 70 meters north-west of Broadmoor Farm, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with dressed quoins and features a corrugated-felt roof. The building has a rectangular plan and includes steps leading up to a former loft on the south wall, which has a plank door to the left. There are two open bays separated by single square stone piers at the gable ends, and above these open bays are two-light stone-mullioned windows. Inside, the structure contains four bays with original roof trusses that include collar and tie beams as well as double butt purlins. The dressed stone lining on the upper floor indicates that the loft was previously used as a grain store, although the floor has since been removed.
