Description
119 and 120 are two semi-detached cottages located in Temple Guiting Ford, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a limestone slate roof, featuring ashlar and artificial stone stacks. The cottages have a rectangular plan and are single storey with an attic, which is lit by a dormer that has a 2-light stone-mullioned casement window from the eaves. The ground floor includes 2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casement windows, all of which have stopped hoods; some windows have plate glass while others have leaded panes. The entrance to No 119, on the left, features a plank door with a 19th-century knocker, while No 120 has an off-centre right plank door. The gable ends have artificial stone stacks, and there is an ashlar stack at the apex of the dormer with a moulded top and skirting. The interiors have not been inspected.
