Description
Ford Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with a 19th-century extension to the rear left. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a limestone slate roof, limestone gable coping, and ashlar stacks. The building has an 'L' shape, with the 19th-century extension projecting to the rear right. The farmhouse is two storeys and has an attic, which is lit by two 3-light dormers with casement windows. The front elevation has three windows, all with 3-light stone-mullioned casements, stopped hoods, and horizontal glazing bars. A plank door is located off-centre to the right, and features a 19th-century door knocker. The left gable end has a single stack, and a twin-flue stack is located centrally and almost axially, both with moulded capping. A bread oven is present in the 19th-century extension. The interior of the main farmhouse was not inspected.
