Description

H L Bennett and Campden Needlecraft Centre is a 17th-century building that was originally two houses, with the western section being a pair. It stands two and a half storeys tall and is constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a band above the ground floor and a modern tiled roof. The building has three gabled dormers and an ashlar chimney on the left side.

On the first floor, there are four windows with chamfered stone mullions set in rebated surrounds; the outer windows have four lights while the inner ones have three, all fitted with modern leaded casements. The ground floor includes a half-glazed door with an open pediment supported by carved brackets, located off-centre to the right of the right-hand cottage. To the left of this door is a Tudor arch alley door, and to the right is a sash window. There is also an early 19th-century bow window on the left with intact glazing bars.

The left-hand part of the building, which houses the Needlecraft Centre, features two Tudor arch doorways; the left doorway is blocked, while the right has a modern bracketed stone hood above it. To the left of this doorway is a modern three-light mullion window, and to the right is a shop window.
