Description
This chest tomb, dating from 1694, is located approximately 64 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St John Baptist in Cirencester. It is made of limestone and features baluster ends. The sides of the tomb are adorned with Gothic panels that include lancets with cusped heads, enclosing a central oval panel with incised lettering. The design shows a stylistic similarity to the doorcase at No. 105 Gloucester Street.
