Description
Tottifey is a former pair of adjoining houses at the end of a small terrace, now converted into a single property. The house on the left likely dates from the late 17th century, while the end house was added in the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a steep stone slate roof. The earlier house has end stacks, with a brick stack on the left and a stone base with a brick flue on the right, while the additional house has a stone end stack.
The main range is two storeys high and includes a rear extension made of roughcast with a slate roof. The main façade has two windows that were originally two-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds; the mullions have been removed and the sills lowered to accommodate 12-pane sash windows. Below these, there are two similar windows, and the central doorcase features an open stone pediment on consoles, a chamfered lintel, quoins, and a 20th-century timber door. The addition on the right has a truncated triple sash window on the first floor set in a flush stone cambered arch, with a late 20th-century timber shop front below, which replaced a garage that previously projected at single-storey level to the east.
