Description
Mount Pleasant House is a semi-detached house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. The house has stone end stacks that are offset and raised in concrete with a moulded cornice.
The building has a single front range that is two storeys tall with an attic in the gable ends. There is a rear catslide roof and an additional rear wing, which is mainly single storey on the left-hand side. The front facade includes three windows, which are 12-pane sashes with timber lintels. On the ground floor, there are two windows flanking a central half-glazed door that has 19th-century margin glass. The main entrance is located on the left-hand return in the rear wing, which features scattered fenestration, all with timber lintels.
