Description
The gates and gate piers adjoining Bourton Lodge date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from ashlar and feature cast-iron gates. The square piers have inset quadrant corners and are topped with moulded cappings that include pineapple finials, adorned with acanthus leaf decoration around their bases. The wide single gate consists of simple spear-headed uprights, with a short length of railing of a similar design on either side.
