Description

The Balhatchet, formerly a butcher's shop, likely dates to the early 19th century, although it incorporates fabric from an earlier building. The building is two storeys and has an attic. It is constructed of small-coursed rubble stone, with a stone slate roof featuring two gabled dormers, a chimney, and a coped verge on the right-hand side. The front elevation has two windows; these are two-light mullion windows. The ground floor features two plain windows with a cornice. A six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, is situated on the left-hand side, and it is flanked by pilaster strips.
