Description

Lower Barn is a small field barn, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with quoins and has a concrete tile roof. The barn features a hipped projecting cart entry with a timber lintel, located to the right of the center on the south side, which has been artificially raised on a concrete footing. There is one slit vent to the right and three to the left. The barn is probably designed with five bays, although the interior was not accessible during the survey in April 1986. It also has an opposed flush entry with double timber doors.
