Description
The barn adjoining to the north-east of Arlington Manor is a late 18th-century structure with a 20th-century linking section. It is built from coursed rubble limestone and features an ashlar chimney and a stone slate roof. The barn consists of four bays and has a southeast porch. On the southeast side, there is a gabled porch to the left, which has plank barn doors and a timber lintel, along with an owl hole in the gable. To the right of the porch, there is a lean-to with a single-light recessed chamfered opening leading into the barn. Above this, there is a half gable featuring a mullioned and transomed casement that connects to the 20th-century linking section on the left. A ridge-mounted chimney with a moulded cap is located at the junction between the link and the barn. On the northwest side, there is a blocked barn doorway with a small inserted casement, while the main timber lintel remains in place. The interior has not been inspected. This barn is included for its group value with Arlington Manor.
