Description
Rose Cottage and the adjoining premises to the left date from the early to mid-18th century, with an early 18th-century section on the right. The building has three storeys and is constructed of coursed rubble, topped with a low-pitched slate roof that features three simple chimneys, partly made of ashlar. The windows are arranged irregularly, with four leaded casement windows on the second floor, five on the first floor (four of which are leaded and have segmental heads), and four on the ground floor, including an angled bay. The right-hand window on the ground floor is a three-light stone mullioned casement, likely from the 19th century. There are three doors, with the right-hand door being flush-panelled and accompanied by a modern bracketed porch. A County Fire Insurance mark is located in the center below the eaves.
