Description
The boundary wall to the Vicarage, which includes the wall to Little Glebe and the gates and gateway to the north-west of the Vicarage, dates from the early to mid-19th century. The wall extends from the front of the Vicarage, constructed of low ashlar, to No. 5 Cidermill Lane, where it is made of rubble and stands about 6 to 10 feet high. The wall is slightly curved and angled in front of the house, stepping up to the north and curving to the west along Cidermill Lane. There is a tall arched gateway to the north-west of the Vicarage, featuring a stepped gable, weathered coping, and flanking gables, with a gate that has open Gothic panels. There is also a break in the wall for a gate to Little Glebe, which is a modern house that is not of special interest.
