Description

Charlton Lodge is a detached house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a hipped roof covered in Cotswold stone-slate tiles, featuring two stone end stacks. The house consists of a single range with a small extension to the rear. It stands three storeys high and has three windows on the front elevation. These are 19th-century 16-pane sash windows set within moulded, shallow frames, each with a large stone lintel. The central window on the top floor has been blocked. Two plat bands run horizontally around the exterior, one situated between each floor. The central doorway is round-headed and incorporates a radial fanlight above a six-panel, half-glazed door.
