Description
The Churchyard Gate and Gateposts to the east of the British Legion Club date from the mid-19th century and are made of cast iron. The gate features a wide carriage design with turned heads on the rails and dog-rails, and it has lozenge bracing in the lower part. The gateposts are octagonal with low pyramidal caps. To the west, there is a short link abutment to the British Legion Club, measuring about 3 feet, made of ashlar with spiked capping. The gate is signed "Hill and Smith, (?) Shielby Mill."
