Description

The Andrews Monument is a chest tomb located about 4 meters south of the Hipsley Monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Lawrence. It commemorates Thomas Andrews, who died in 1837. The tomb is made of limestone and features a moulded plinth and capping on its base, with a plain frieze and a tent-shaped top. The ends of the tomb are plain, each with an incised rectangular panel that has a projecting semi-circular section at the top. The side panels are also plain, flanked by fluted strips.
