Description

Leigh House is a 17th-century building that was remodelled in the mid-19th century. It is a two-and-a-half-storey structure built of coursed and squared rubble, with a slate roof. It features two brick ridge chimneys and two gabled dormers with leaded casements. The front facade has two windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, all with two-light chamfered stone mullion windows. The left-hand ground-floor window was formerly a door. A central door is set within a chamfered surround. The eaves were raised in the mid-19th century. Group value context: its architectural characteristics contribute to the group value of buildings in the High Street.
