Description

Grimes House, also known as Ivydene, is a late 18th or early 19th century building on Moreton-in-the-Marsh High Street. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof and coped verges. It features four ridge chimneys, and two gabled dormers with leaded lights dating to the 19th century. There are four windows with three-light casements in segmental heads. The ground floor of Ivydene incorporates a coach entry with wide doors. A bay window with glazing bars is present, alongside a six-panel door with the upper two panels glazed. The main façade contains a two-bay projecting porch supported by slender columns, with a fascia across the left side. This porch has a central doorway flanked by windows, and a small 19th-century glazing bar bow window to the right.
