Description
The Jasper Warren monument, located in the churchyard approximately 3 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of St. Mary, is a Grade II listed bale tomb dated 1736. It is made of limestone and features a rectangular shape with elaborately bordered side and end panels adorned with cherubs' heads. The monument has a cyma moulded plinth and top, and the bale includes curved fielded panels with shell hood recesses at the ends. The north side of the monument is inscribed to Jasper Warren, who died in 1684, along with various later inscriptions that are contemporary with the construction of the tomb.
