Description

Upper Siddington Bridge is a canal road bridge built in 1789, designed by engineer Robert Whitworth, with Josiah Clows as the engineer in charge. The bridge is constructed of red brick, featuring some modern patching, especially on the east face, and has stone coping. It has a segmental arch and low rise, with splayed wing walls. The bridge crosses the Thames and Severn Canal between Nos 2 and 3 Siddington Locks.
