Description

The gate and bridge gate piers to the south of Lower Water were built in 1881 and are constructed from ashlar stone. The structure features a single arch that has a high parapet with weathered coping and quadrant ends. In the center, there are ashlar gate piers adorned with heavy cornices and large ball finials. The end piers lead to the quadrants. The original wooden gate has an arcaded pattern between the rails.
