Description
The Potter and unidentified monument is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, up to 4 meters south-west of the cross. This site features two types of tombs: a chest tomb and a pedestal tomb, both made of limestone.
The chest tomb dates from the late 18th century and has partially legible inscriptions. It includes a moulded plinth with inset corners and double inscription panels on the north and south sides, topped with capping that has a hollow-moulded margin.
The pedestal monument is dedicated to Jane Potter, who died in 1777, along with other family members. It has a moulded plinth with inset corners and sunken inscription panels, finished with capping that features a moulded margin and a small moulded inner capping stone.
