Description
A terrace of three houses, numbers 29, 31, and 33, located on the north side of Lansdown Place, was built around 1820 to 1850. The houses are constructed with stucco over brick, and have slate roofs. A red brick party wall and stacks at the left end are present. The exterior features six first-floor windows, two per house, with original six-over-six sash windows in plain reveals. Windows to the right are set within voussoir arches. There is a blind window on the first floor, in the fourth opening. Modern doors with overlights are present. A low parapet and copings complete the exterior. The interior of the houses was not inspected. The property includes tent-form porches with ornate scrolled uprights, openwork friezes, and tent roofs. This artisan row is exceptionally well-preserved, notably for the survival of all its wrought-iron porches, a feature once common but now rare in Cheltenham's smaller houses.
