Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating back to the 17th century, with a later 18th-century addition. The left-hand side is built of pinkish-brown brick, while the right-hand side is timber-framed and painted brick. It has a double-pitch slate roof with brick stacks at the right end of the left range. Originally a single-unit dwelling, it was extended in the late 18th century with a double-depth range to the left. The left-hand range is two storeys high with one first-floor window. It features two 8/8 sash windows with flat arches on the front, along with a 20th-century door with overlight. Other windows are recessed casements. A timber-framed section abuts the rear of the building and has a casement window in the gable. The rear elevation contains 8/8 sash windows. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
