Description

Southern Bridge is a road bridge that spans the River Lyd. It likely dates from the 17th century or has earlier origins, with some rebuilding that occurred in the 19th century, including the addition of parapets. The bridge is constructed of stone rubble and features granite arch rings. It has three spans with elliptical arches, and the imposts at the arches have probably been reconstructed and enlarged.
