Description

Tinhay Bridge is a road bridge that crosses the River Thrushel and was built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from stone rubble and features granite ashlar arches. The bridge has three spans with elliptical arches and semi-circular cutwaters, which are supported by granite coping below semi-circular battered piers. At road level, there is a string course, and the parapet above has chamfered granite capping that rises to a peak above the piers.
