Description

The remains of the north-west corner of the Abbey cloister and church wall are located in the churchyard of St Eustachius. This structure dates back to the 13th century and consists of an L-shaped fragment of wall that includes the upper part of a moulded 13th-century arch, featuring cusped arcading below. The longer section of the wall was part of the Abbey Church. Excavations conducted in 1914 uncovered additional sections of the church walls and some early 14th-century floor tiles, although these findings have since been filled in.
