Description

This is a headstone located about 26 meters south of the center of the south aisle of the Church of St. Constantine in Milton Abbot. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone has a nowy shape and commemorates Joan Godard, who died in 1742. It features cherubim carved in relief at the top, with a verse below the inscription that reads, "As I am now so shall you be/Therefore prepare to follow me/."
