Description

This is a late 18th century headstone located about 11 meters southwest of the west door of the Church of St Constantine in Milton Abbot. Made of slate, the headstone features a nowy shape with an almost foiled head and canted corners, commemorating Mary Hart, who died in 1773. The design includes a skull, crossbones, heart, flowers, and an hourglass at the top, along with a verse below the inscription that reads, "Husband farewel children the same / I'm gone to dust from whence I came / ...".
